Privacy policy

This policy explains how Shoreline Cottage (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through shorelinecottage.co.za, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

• Details you send us through the enquiry form, WhatsApp, email or phone: your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, number of guests and your message.
• Booking details you give on our online booking page, which is run by our booking provider (NightsBridge). Their privacy policy applies to the information you enter there.

How we use it

We use your information only to answer your enquiry, confirm and manage your booking, and keep records we are required to keep. We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers who help us run the website and bookings: our form service, our booking and payment providers, and our email provider. They may process it outside South Africa.

Keeping it safe and how long we keep it

We keep your details only as long as needed for your enquiry or stay and for legal or accounting purposes, and we take reasonable steps to keep them secure.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@shorelinecottage.co.za. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
